The Annual Melanoma Walk is coming up soon, and I am asking for your support to raise money to spread awareness, fund research, and help those that are making a difference in the field in curing this cancer that is so prevalent in our community. After being diagnosed in 2009 and a long struggle including numerous surgeries, treatments, and hospitalizations, I have far exceeded life expectancy models and am proud to report it has been almost three years since my last surgeries and I have been cancer free for four years. I owe much of this to my relentless team of doctors, my friends and family for their unwavering support, my own perseverance, and people like you that generously donate to fund research that has directly benefited me and will benefit others.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal this year of $1,000 by donating to my team; Durbin's Dash for the Cure. If you are able to join us in person, I would really appreciate it, and you can register for the event below. In addition to the rememberance walk, refreshments, and silent auction (always lots of good items), they have added a 5k run that I plan to participate in.
