It's time for the annual Melanoma Walk and there are some exciting changes. It's now in the morning (November 12th) and in addition to the traditional walk we've added a 5K run at 9:00 a.m. After being diagnosed in 2005 (life expectancy then was 3-5 years) I have been No Evidence of Disease since 2011. At this point I have had seventeen extra years of: our family (we have seven grandies ranging in age from 10 months to a college freshman), celebrations, weddings, holidays, the changing of the seasons, friends, and travels! My favorite word? HOPE!
